Dr. Russ Wilson loves words and language. Having studied Applied Linguistics for 10 years, his PhD thesis explores the different ways in which we can interpret how opinions are articulated, and how strongly they are felt. This includes both the actual words that are used, and also the grammatical and social structures that surround them. He currently works as a Senior Consultant at Clear Ideas, and over the last 5yrs working in the #mrx world, has slowly become exasperated at the continued reference to NLP and its spurious claims, within an industry that should really know better! He is particularly frustrated by the claim that “communication is 93% non-verbal”.
